Rumor: Peloton preparing to launch on Amazon UK & Amazon Germany

Peloton appears to be looking at launching on Amazon in both the United Kingdom and Germany. Bob Treemore shared on Twitter that new data elements posted this week suggest that Amazon UK and Amazon Germany will host Peloton products in the future.

As a reminder, Peloton announced a partnership with Amazon in the United States in August, marking the first time ever new Peloton products were available from another retailer. The below products are available from Amazon in the U.S:

  • Original Peloton Bike
  • Peloton Guide, Peloton’s first-ever strength connected device
  • Cycling shoes – both original and Alto shoes
  • Dumbbell weights
  • Light/bike weights
  • Heart rate band
  • Bike mat
  • Yoga strap
  • Yoga blocks
  • Workout mat
  • Water bottle
  • Peloton Apparel products, including clothing, car magnets, sweat towels, water bottles, sweat bands, tumblers, and hats

The Bike+ and the Tread are not included in the available Amazon products. It is unclear whether Amazon UK and Amazon Germany would include the same list of products. Note that some products – such as the Guide and the Altos cycling shoes – are not yet available in Germany even directly from Peloton.

Peloton products are currently included in the Amazon Prime Day Early Access sale, with $220 off the Bike, $45 off the Guide, and 25% off the heart rate band and cycling shoes. You can read more in our recent article.

In addition to Amazon, Peloton recently announced a partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods, the largest U.S. sporting goods retailer. Interestingly, DICK’S will carry the Bike+ and Tread, unlike Amazon. Peloton has also been running a trial in Germany selling refurbished bikes on eBay, but has not opened up an eBay store in any other countries.

The data uncovered does not indicate any potential details about Amazon Canada or Amazon Australia.

We will continue to share updates if and when new details emerge about Amazon UK and Amazon Germany. Special thanks to Bob Treemore for uncovering and sharing this information.
