PSNY Peloton Studios New York Closed on Memorial Day (May 30) 2022

Peloton’s New York studios (PSNY) will be closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day. The schedule is currently showing a full day of encore classes from PSNY, but there are a few live classes early in the day from the London studio.

Peloton typically closes their U.S. studio on Memorial Day (and most other major U.S. holidays), so this isn’t a surprise; however, it’s worth noting that PSNY has been closed fairly frequently over the past few weeks. The studio was closed May 27, May 20-21, and May 5, all due to “maintenance.” The schedule is also currently showing nearly all encore classes for June 6-7.

Though Peloton hasn’t made any official announcements, the “maintenance”-related studio closures are likely in preparation for the summer 2022 reopening. While Peloton hasn’t yet shared an exact date, we’ve previously reported on both rumors of a soft reopening in June and a full reopening in August. In fact, Peloton is holding a press preview on June 10. Peloton could be making adjustments in order to prepare for members to attend classes in-person.

If you’re looking to take a live class on Memorial Day, be sure to check out the schedule for the London-based content.

I really think that Peloton missed the mark by closing on Memorial Day. They could/should have had a series of workouts akin to the CrossFit workout Murph – which is a Memorial Day staple amongst the military and fitness community. Something tough, raw, and full of emotion. Something that honored our heroic losses while rallying the crew amongst some patriotic way ahead for the future. Hopefully they see the light and use the appropriate holidays for something other than a “rest period.”
