Peloton hires Chief People Officer

Peloton announced recently that they have hired Mariana Garavaglia to be the company’s first Cheif People Officer. Garavaglia joins the Peloton team from Amazon, where she held roles in human resources, recruiting, and operations.

Speaking with HR Technologist, Garavaglia noted:

“In just a few years, Peloton has successfully created a culture that is without parallel. The dynamism and energy employees come to work with everyday showcase what a special place Peloton is.  As the company further expands and innovates, I’m thrilled to come on board to help retain and attract amazing talent and continue to foster the great work environment that John and his team have created.”

Garavaglia will certainly be busy as the company prepares for the upcoming IPO as well as expansion in Europe. A full studio is expected to open in London this fall and sales in Germany should begin later this year.

Garavaglia isn’t the only new member of the Peloton executive team. Jennifer Cotter and Kevin Chorlins joined Peloton earlier this month to lead the newly developed Content Team.
