Peloton forms new Health & Wellness Advisory Council

Peloton announced this morning that they would be forming a brand new Health & Wellness Advisory Council. The goal of the council will be to

[W]ork closely with the company as it continues to look at how it can positively impact the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of its community of Members from around the world. Peloton will collaborate with the council, which includes five renowned doctors, researchers and other medical professionals from the fields of cardiovascular medicine, cardiopulmonary exercise, neurology and neuroscience, and draw on their knowledge and expertise to help inform product and content development, community-focused and social impact initiatives, research projects and more.

The council will initially be made up of 5 members. They include:

  • Suzanne Steinbaum, MD – Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Richard S. Isaacson, MD – Neurology
  • Vernon Williams, MD – Neurology
  • Aimee M. Layton, PhD – Cardiopulmonary Exercise
  • Jay Alberts, PhD – Neuroscience

Previous social impact initiatives have included Peloton’s comeback program, their support of the NAACP, donations to various food banks, and more.
