Peloton Australia Ends Relationship with Affirm and changing to “Zip” Buy Now Pay Later Financing

Peloton has switched their financing partner in Australia. Instead of working with Affirm, they will now work with Zip for their buy now pay later financing partner. Peloton has updated a support page with additional information.

Update – Peloton officially launched financing with Zip Money in Australia on April 13, 2023.

As of March 1, 2023, Peloton will no longer work with Affirm on new loans for hardware purchases. Those who have already purchased hardware using financing through Affirm will be unaffected by this change – they will still continue to pay via Affirm.

Update – On March 21st, Affirm announced they would be waiving all remaining loan balances for Peloton owners who financed with Affirm in Australia.

At the moment, Peloton has not launched their new partnership with Zip for financing. No date is given for the launch at this time. At the moment, this means it is not possible to buy a Bike or Bike+ with financing until the new partnership is live.

For members who have already purchased a Peloton Bike or Bike+ with Affirm in Australia, nothing is changing. They will still make their payments to Affirm until their purchase is paid off.

Members who have questions about their financing plan with Affirm are instructed to visit https://help.au.affirm.com/s/, or contact https://help.au.affirm.com/au/s/contact-us.

Peloton first launched in Australia in 2021 with the Bike and Bike+. The Tread recently became available in the country just last month after a short soft launch process.
