Peloton Designing Content Specifically for Corporate Wellness Members?

Members who have taken Daniel McKenna’s 10 minute Full Body Stretch class from August 10 may have noticed something rather unusual – Daniel repeatedly talked about Peloton’s Corporate Wellness Program as if the class was tailored to corporate wellness participants.

Daniel starts off the class by saying: “Hello and welcome to Peloton Corporate Wellness.” Later, he mentions a few “perks” of the corporate wellness program, such as accessibility, accountability, motivation, and community. You can view clips from the class via the Pelo Buddy YouTube page, or embedded below.

Based on the studio design, it appears this class was filmed back in May, as the platform is a light wood color. At the end of May Peloton changed the wood to a black color, and just last month they made another update by changing the platform shape to square and adding lighting.

It is unclear whether Daniel’s class was meant to be released to all members, but it suggests that Peloton is recording classes that may be available solely to corporate wellness members. One possibility is that they are creating a “Welcome to Peloton Corporate Wellness” collection or program of some kind.

We are currently unaware of any special classes designed just for corporate wellness members, but Peloton could be taking steps in this direction as they expand the program. They already have special challenges available for corporate wellness members to compete with other members of their company, and special badges that accompany those challenges.

Peloton officially announced their corporate wellness program in 2021, with participants such as Accenture, Nasdaq, Sky, Samsung, and SAP. In July they announced 15 new companies who joined the program. Peloton also maintains partnerships with UnitedHealthcare and Vitality.

I think you’re right about it being an intro thing. It seemed like a pitch video for employees of companies who have already signed up for the corporate wellness program.
