2022 Peloton Black History Month Celebration Announced

Peloton has officially announced their 2022 Black History Month celebration! Peloton shared the news via blog post:

Feel the energy that moves us. This Black History Month, we’re celebrating the way our Black Members inspire us with their dedication to themselves and their communities. Through themed classes, an apparel collection inspired by our community, special artist series, and more, we’ll uplift, celebrate and empower each other. All month long, we’re highlighting the magnetic energy of the Black diaspora that breaks boundaries and moves us forward.

Members can expect to begin seeing a number of Black History Month (abbreviated as “BHM”) classes appear on the schedule throughout the month of February across fitness modalities, including rides, runs, strength, bike bootcamp, yoga, and meditations. These classes will be placed in a special collection – similar to previous years – for easy access.

New classes will drop for the first time on February 5th, but special encore classes will begin on February 1st. Peloton is also promising artist series highlighting Black artists and icons throughout the month, including a “special drop” that members won’t want to miss.

At time of publishing, only one live BHM class is on the schedule – a two for one Block Party run on Saturday, Feb 5th.

We will have a complete list of the 2022 Peloton Black History Month classes listed on this page as they are announced and available on-demand.

There will also likely be a special 2022 Black History Month badge available upon completion of any Black History Month class. As always, you can view the full list of badges in our guide.

Included in this announcement is a new apparel line featuring the work of designer Erwin Hines. Peloton will be holding a special Instagram Live on the Peloton Apparel page with yoga instructor Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts and Erwin at 1:30 p.m. ET on January 28 to discuss the new collection. Peloton launched special apparel collections for Black History Month in 2021 and 2020 as well.

As has been the case in years past, Peloton will also mark Black History Month with a charitable contribution of $100,000 – this time to support the development of a community wellness center in Chicago’s South Side. They are partnering with Claretian Associates, an organization with deep ties to the neighborhood.

Each week Peloton will also feature “one of our standout Black Members who are dedicated to brightening the world around them” on social media.

Peloton’s Black History Month celebrations have been growing for a number of years. You can read about the 2021 programming here.
