2022 The Cooldown Peloton Year in Review is here – How to Access & View your Stats

Peloton has released their 2022 Year in Review, known as “The Cooldown”. Note that this is not for the calendar year – stats for Peloton’s “The Cooldown” in 2022 are from Dec 1, 2021 – Dec 1, 2022.

You can get access your Cooldown (or year in review) from Peloton in several ways. One way is to go directly to the new link for the cooldown: https://members.onepeloton.com/profile/cooldown.

Alternatively, you should be able to find a new section for “Cooldown” in your app or the Peloton website. In either the iPhone or Android app, click on “Profile” in the app. There should be a tab labeled “Cooldown” at the top, in between Overview & Workouts. You can access it the same way via the members website on a web browser. Simply log in, click your profile at the top right, and use the new tab.

Note that in previous years Cooldown was hosted at https://cooldown.onepeloton.com/ – but that page just redirects you to the Peloton home page this year.

So what is The Cooldown on Peloton? It’s a short video that Peloton has created for almost every member, which has a highlight and some summary stats of the previous year.

There are actually two versions of the video available for members. The main video is a minute long. There is also a shorter 10 second version of the The Cooldown, which is called “Highlights”.

The “Highlights” version of Peloton’s “Cooldown” creates an overview image, a sample of which is seen below from Pelo Buddy TV co-host Amanda Segal (#Seglo3). The data shown is the total hours worked out, the number of active days during the year, the number of badges earned, the total number of miles ran, and what your top class type was.

The minute-long version of The Cooldown has a variety of stats it calls out.

First, your top 3 class types are highlighted, along with showcasing the number of hours worked out in each discipline.

Next, you are shown the total number of hours you worked out for the year, along with the total number of calendar days.

The Cooldown then highlights either the number of miles you ran over the course of the year, or the number of miles that you cycled.

Since everyone loves a badge (and you can always find a list of badges here), you are shown how many badges you earned over the last year.

Also shown is a PR you earned over the course of the year, and what type of class you earned it on.

Your favorite coach from the past year is also highlighted as well.

Finally, The Cooldown closes with showing you what one of the most popular musical genre was in classes you took, along with what one of the most frequent musicians or bands you listened to in classes were.

Note that this year there is is not a number shown for number of workouts for the year. This is perhaps because Peloton is hoping people will track that with “The Annual” challenge – which actually runs for the full calendar year (Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2022). Note that your minutes do still count towards the annual challenge, and as always, we have a calculator to help figure out how to help you earn whatever your goal target is for the year.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any way to access your video and stats from previous years Cooldown year in review if you did not save them to your computer last year.
Also, if you are a newer member, or don’t have a certain number of hours worked out, Peloton will be unable to generate the statistics for you and you might not be able to access The Cooldown.

Were you surprised about any of your stats shown in “The Cooldown”?

Not sure how many people feed off the leaderboaerd, but for me it is crucial and keeps me working hard.
I really hated that they removed the overall leaderboard ranking stat from this year’s Cooldown that they provided in last year’s. I aimed for the top 2% in every class this year and would’ve liked to have seen where I landed. I think last year, which was my first full year with the bike, I was top 10%. Anyway, prob not important to most.

Yes! What he said. I was waiting to see what percentile I landed in for strength and biking, but alas that’s not a part of this years stats. Oh well 🤷🏽‍♂️
